An email exchange group for all people interested in the more modern trains of the former British Railways, especially 2nd-generation Multiple Units, but posts are also welcomed about coaching stock (Mk 2 onwards), diesel locmotives (Class 56 onwards), electric locomotives (Class 87 onwards), and all departmental stock. Posts from Ireland and France, where it is felt to be of interest to the members, would also be welcome. Specific interests would be all unusual multiple unit formations and workings. Particularly welcome would be discussion about the practicalities and possibilities of preserving 2nd generation multiple units (diesel and electric) when the time is appropriate)
