Asian Americans for Community Outreach (AACO): Community Service + Social Events.
AACO is an organization dedicated to creating a forum in the San Francisco Bay Area where Asian American professionals and students can meet and foster the common goal of community service as well as social and professional networking.
AACO members can be found throughout the Bay Area. Our members range in age from the 20s to 30s. AACO organizes community service and social events and promotes awareness of social and political issues relevant to Asian Americans. By bringing together people from many diverse fields, AACO hopes to pool its members' knowledge, strength, and experience to make a positive impact on our community.
Community service events include efforts to Fight Hunger and Homelessness, Habitat and Historical Site Restoration, Arts/Crafts Day for Children, assisting with the annual Growing Up Asian in America children's art and essay contest, Holiday Scavenger Hunt Gift Giving, Challenge for Charity Sports Day, Chinese New Years Volunteering and many other opportunities.
Social events include Ballroom Dancing, Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Fruit Picking, Candle Making, Theatre, Game Nite, Horse Back Riding, Broomball, Volleyball, Picnics and other fun activities.
