"ABSForum" is an email discussion group for the membership of the American Bonsai Society (ABS). You must be a member of ABS in order to post questions and participate in the group. If you are a member of ABS, you may join the group by subscribing now. (Please do not apply to ABSForum unless you are an ABS member - we do check our database before we approve your application).

If you wish to join ABS, please visit our website at http://www.absbonsai.org and subscribe through our Join page. After you have joined ABS you will automatically be invited to join the ABSForum.

This group is for the discussion of bonsai, its horticulture and art, the happenings within the bonsai community and ABS, and other bonsai-related topics. Beginners' questions in particular are welcomed and encouraged. Bonsai Clubs belonging to ABS are encouraged to share their club information (meetings, shows etc.) on ABSForum.

"ABSForum" is an unmoderated discussion group for the serious discussion of bonsai. Postings are not approved by the moderator before they are sent to the ABSForum members. However, any posting that is off topic, inflammatory, uses crude or vulgar language, or is similarly deemed inappropriate for the discussion of bonsai may result in all of that member's subsequent posts having to be approved by the moderator. Members of this Yahoogroup who violate these rules will be contacted by the moderator. Repeat violations may result in that member being banned from the "ABSForum" group.

Vendors who are members of ABS are welcome to contribute information about bonsai supplies. Although direct advertising is not permitted, vendors are free to provide information on their wares in response to questions on the ABSForum.
