Description

A place for Arizona scanner radio hobbyists (Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, and other areas) to share public safety radio frequencies, talkgroups, codes, and other information. This may include police, fire, EMS, aircraft, or any other radio services of specific interest to Arizona.

Members may also occassionally receive information from Scannerstuff, the publisher of Southwest Frequency Directory (the authoritative source for scanner information in AZ).

Posting non-Arizona-specific for sale items or issues not directly related to radio scanning in ARIZONA will get you banned.

Please keep it respectful and on topic. Remember, your membership is will remain at the sole discretion of the list owner.

Notifications of breaking incidents should be directed to one of the many other sources for this type of content, not here, since the ArizonaScanner list is for two-way discussions and Q A type content. This group is to help you use your scanner and to understand what you're hearing, not to tell you that you should go turn on your scanner because you're missing some good stuff..

Because there are so many emergency calls in Arizona all the time, questions about where particular emergency vehicles you saw were going or what they were doing at a given location are inappropriate on this forum.

To reduce SPAM, new members will be moderated until several on-topic messages have been posted. Moderators typically approve new messages within one day. Please do not repost a message just because it does not immediately appear on the group (Yahoo! messages can take several hours even without moderation). Thanks.
