This group is being founded with the aim of enabling people of Bihar to help each other and provide an outlet so that we can pool our resources.

Today, the term Bihari is a form of abuse and many Biharis feel ashamed of their identity. Yet running away from our identity does not solve the problem. The important issue is to work to build a positive alternative and shun the rampant caste politics that charecterise our state and work to help each other.

Vision Statement: To unite professionals from Bihar in a spirit of self-help, end the caste divide and help to uplift Bihar

The Mission is to:
(1) Build a knowledge base on issues related to Bihar
(2) Enable Bihari Professionals across the world to network with and help each other
(3) Raise the image of Bihar/Biharis and encourage the propagation of the heritage of Bihar
(4) Discuss the perspectives and roots of social problems with a positive frame of mind
(5) Fight social evils and encourage social initiatives to benefit the twin states of Bihar & Jharkhand.

Thus this group provides for an opportunity for Biharis to discuss issues positively, advertise job openings in their companies/organisations, provide an opportunity for Bihar based entrepreneurs to meet potential consumers across the world etc.
