Hi Vivian,
One of my great grandfathers was born in Sanne (Bohuslän) and moved the
family next door to Dalsland (Järbo Socken near Bäckefors)...Small
world, eh?...
I personally haven't used any of the online Swedish genealogy sites, so
I can't give you any guidance in this regard...We've traced our family
primarily with books based on Swedish church records while in Sweden
plus work done by relatives...Let me send an email to one of my cousins
in Sweden and ask him for some suggestions...There is also another
distant relative of mine in Sweden who has done a lot of genealogy,
books, etc, and I'll ask him, too...I'm flying out to Seattle on a
business trip on Tue and then to the Gulf Coast on Fri, so it may be
9-10 days before I get back to helping you...
Before you go, suggest you brush-up on your Swedish and common
abbreviations used in the records, such as f.: föd/born, d.: död/died,
g.m.: gifte med/married to, b.: barn/child/children, etc.
Hej då för nu...
Rickard A-son
