My Bohuslen lineage starts in Hällan, Gudebo, Skee Parish

2. Johan Andersson/Hällstrom b. 1858 Skee m. Emma Josefina Carlsdotter b.

Both Alexander and Johan moved from Hällan Gudebo to Strömstad, and to
commerate the move, each changed their name to Hällstrom, and became shoe
crafters, living near one another. The address of Johan's shop is Sodra
(South) Bergsgatan 11. I have a post card of the home and shop of Johan
Hällstrom taken about 1910, which has been posted to the Photos link, and
shows Johan's wife Emma Carlsdotter in the front.

Johan Hällstrom's son, Frans Efraim b. 1889 Strömstad, emigrated to Mass in
1906, and was my grandfather. Another son, David Hällstrom, wrote the waltz
"Kostervalsen".

I am looking for any other researchers of this family, particularly back to
the Andersson family in Skee Parish. I am also trying to determine if any
other children of either Johan or Alexander emigrated to the US or Canada. I
believe a couple of Alexander's children, Anders R., Elvira, and Johan E. may
have emigrated as their names show up on the emigrants database of this
Group.
