The local BK User's Group meets monthly and has been doing so for as many years as we have had the Rootsweb list. I have been the leader of the local group for quite a while as well. Attendance has been diminishing in recent times and I felt that the social aspects of a group such as this are important to maintain interest. When we gather, face to face, discussions take on a more personal view with examples shown and methods illustrated - not possible on the Rootsweb List. Since we do want to gather monthly it was important that we close the membership to those who are within driving distance. Hence our rule of accepting only users with ZIP Codes in the 44*** range.
