an adventure set in the 1939 West Coast World's Fair.

As we move along on our journey through the Charlie Chan film series, we take a
short detour to celebrate the birthday of one of the few Chan players who are
still with us today, Elena Verdugo. Our film for this week's Monday Evening
Chat and Film Viewing is "The Sky Dragon," starring Roland Winters and featuring
Elena Verdugo, whose 85th birthday we commemorate, as well as Noel Neill of
Superman fame. Miss Verdugo fondly recalls another project that she worked on
years later with Roland Winters, a television show called "Meet Millie." So,
"The Sky Dragon" was something of a door leading to the future for the actress.

In this week's adventure, death stalks the sky as Charlie Chan and Number One
Son, Lee seek to unmask the ruthless killer who will stop at nothing to gain
ill-gotten riches! Can they succeed before the sinister "dragon" can accomplish
a very deadly goal?

IMPORTANT REMINDER…

We will be celebrating the birthday of Keye Luke on our June 13 Chat and Film

– in "Phantom of Chinatown"! If you do not as yet have a copy of this movie (or
the others in the very worthy Mr. Wong series, the rest of which star Boris
Karloff in the title role), please take this opportunity to purchase it, as the
sets are available at very reasonable prices through Amazon.com and other
sellers such as DeepDiscount.com. Later in our journey through the Charlie Chan
