I live in DC and am new to the area. I have this idea of a “Lesbian Social Club”, since I have not been able to locate one that’s FUN focused, as opposed to “ISSUE’ focused, give me a break, I say “hey lets start my own”! I’m thinking: a no-pressure, no limits, social club which meets weekly for specific activities (theater, dining, concert, etc.) and a least twice monthly for a physical activity (a sport Wizards, Nationals, Mystics, skiing, rafting, boating, dancing, etc..)
Who:Lesbians Only. race, color, or creed, not a limitation, only part of the spice. If you said to yourself, “I’ve always wanted to do that, but I don’t know anyone who’s would go? Or something you are the right person for this little soirée.
What: A Lesbian Social Club whose focus on social mingle that is centered on fun activities; physical, dinning, theater, arts, etc. Whatever…..No Limits
When & Where:: Start: 15 July, DC based.
Why: Tired of trying to date someone to just have fun. Want to make new friends, hangout with folks who want to have fun and like doing all kinds of activities or who have always wanted to do a certain thing but didn’t have the time or opportunity. I know there are others like me who reside in the city as well as outside of it, in the beltway.
Disclaimer: Ok, I’m not naïve, some people who read about this club will see it as a possible way to hook-up, so what, if it is, it is, that’s not why I’m starting the club. I would be up to the members to speak on how they feel about folks who join just to hook-up. I discourage it as a central focus, but if it happens, it happens. Let not ruin the fun for everyone else with ridiculous drama. Nut jobs are strongly discouraged, and men especially, it will be obvious when you show up that you are a guy… Ok, I’m excited, let start.
