I was looking over Crisis on Infinite Earths and recollecting first impressions
of the story and how it all turned out.

Something I now wonder about Pariah.

Was he supposed to be the ultimate liberal or something?

Championing his cause, crusading his message, his heart on his sleeve.

Other than any of this, the character never really did anything, did he?

Favorite Legionnaires really depends on the writer's ability to utilize the
character (something that I feel has always plagued Batman and is an ongoing
discussion in another group).

Of all the Legion stories I have read, one of the best would have to be Dream
Girl taking on Hagga on Orando, to rescue Princess Projectra and Karate Kid
(circa #288).

Using the flight ring with her mental abilities and then relying on Shadow
Lass's unknown assistance, it showed very good thought in how the characters
should work and work together.

From there, even tho it was the minority aware seventies, I always liked a story
that told the origin of Tyroc (first Legion Black token. They weren't
African-American then, plus if Tyroc was of no American descent, he wouldn't be
AA anyway, he would just be African) with Dawnstar and Shadow Lass in
attendance. No caucasians around.

But it was Paul Levitz' usage of various Legionnaires when Keith Giffen was the
artist that was most enjoyable.

Phantom Girl reminded me of Lucy Van Pelt from the Peanuts, and Shadow Lass
reminded me of the wicked queen from Snow White. They were constantly in Timber
Wolf's face, poor guy.

Blok always managed to round out any group he was in. Pity it had to be a large
rocky figure like that.

If the title was going to emphasize Karate Kid as having no powers and being the
only 'normal' Legionnaire, then they shouldn't have killed him off. Instead have
him look at himself in such a manner, but then end up virtually saving the
Legion too many times to count. That would have been fun.

Princess Projectra's Sensor Girl moment should have run longer than it did.

I kind of wish the original depictions (well, from #272 anyway) of Crystal Kid,
Lamprey and Nightwind had seen them become full-fledged members.

that, they have no real history, and since shortly after Coast City was
destroyed, Hal went crazy, they have had no further conflict, until the Sinestro
Corps storyline. Up until this, Cyborg has shown up in Supes' titles a few
times. I think that as far a villainous acts, Cyborg Superman has harmed Hal
more than Clark. He isn't envious of Superman, he hates him because he blames
him for what happened to him and his wife, and for his self exile in deep space.
Hal's city being destroyed was a random act, but it destroyed Hal himself, for
more than a decade (our time.) All he did to Supes was to tarnish his name, and
frame him for a planet's destruction.

No Cyborg Superman destroying Coast City with coercing Mongul Lord of Warworld
to help is not a random act. He knew what he was doing, enjoyed it, and felt no
remorse for it.
I think that he became a shared rogue similar to how Kingpin has battled Spider
Man, though he has had more of a conflict with Daredevil as of late.

Brian Austin Green The actor best known for his role as the confident chap David
Silver in Beverly Hills 90210 is campaiging to be featured in the Green Lantern
movie. Well he's a talented actor I don't see him as the hotshot arrogant Pilot
Hal Jordan that becomes the exceptional Emerald Warrior Green Lantern.
I say Chris Pine considering he's already shown that he can play that kind of
character as Captain Kirk in Star Trek. Although I think he might avoid it for
the main facts of Captain Kirk and Hal Jordan seem very similar including
mannerisms, personality, boldness, role, etc. Add in not being typecasted.

Too old. Hot shot pilots are in their 20s, not their 30s or 40s. 36 is
old for a fighter pilot. Test pilot might be as old as 40 but that's
really pushing it.

They might use Will Smith, because in the cartoon series, they had a black Green

They might use Will Smith, because in the cartoon series, they had a black
Green Latern. So they'll probably spin off from that.

How about David Boreanaz? He was the voice of the Green Lantern of Sector 2814
in Justice League: The New Frontiere...

Brian Austin Green The actor best known for his role as the confident chap
David Silver in Beverly Hills 90210 is campaiging to be featured in the Green
Lantern movie. Well he's a talented actor I don't see him as the hotshot
arrogant Pilot Hal Jordan that becomes the exceptional Emerald Warrior Green
Lantern.
I say Chris Pine considering he's already shown that he can play that kind of
character as Captain Kirk in Star Trek. Although I think he might avoid it for
the main facts of Captain Kirk and Hal Jordan seem very similar including
mannerisms, personality, boldness, role, etc. Add in not being typecasted.

on 26Apr09 my sister cheri rounsville succumbed to a Brain anuerysm-unlike most
she had a whole week of life as the doctors tried to fix her,to no avail! on
03may09 she was taken off life support-if you are familiar with this song-sing
it for her, please,I beg,and beseech you

                                                                                \
                                            Hush now dont you cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
Youre lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over...or has it just begun?

Theres a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run to in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didnt realize it and you were scared
Its a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the tears
And ride the whims of your mind
Commanding in another world
Suddenly, you hear and see
This magic new dimension

Chorus
I-will be watching over you
I-am gonna help you see it through
I-will protect you in the night
I-am smiling next to you...in silent lucidity

If you open your mind for me
You wont rely on open eyes to see
The walls you built within
Come tumblng down, and a new world will begin
Living twice at once you learn
You7re safe froom pain in the dream domain
A soul set free to fly
A round trip journey in your head
Master of illusion, can you realize
Your dreams alive, you can be the guide but...

Chorus

Deepest sympathies for the loss of your sister. Several years ago my uncle died
of a brain anuerysm. He didn't last a minute. He was laughing and talking one
minute, the next he was dead. It was unreal. Energy and matter can never be
destroyed. That which we are is eternal. May she rest in peace. I sang the song.
