My brother Dale just started a club for Dixie Dugan and Louise Brooks. Dixie
Dugan was a comic strip charachter that was at least partly inspired by Louise
Brooks. We have pictures in the club that compare them. The club is at

I put in another Shadow comic book story, "The Shadow Convicts Judge Lawless",
which was published by Street and Smith and is credited to Walter Gibson. The
story turned up on the "Four Color Shadows" site. - the living Shadow fan
"The Fabulous Fifties" at http://allthingsger.blogspot.com/ says Will Eisner
misrepresented a few things in an attempt to make himself look better, one of
the things it mentioned was his version of what he'd testified in the
"Wonderman" suit when DC comics sued publisher Victor Fox for plaigerism. It
also said that the Eisner produced "PS" magazine was a financial failure. This
was actually educational material done for the government, and if the government
was paying for it, I don't know how it could have been a financial failure. But
I wouldn't doubt that Eisner misrepresented things in an attempt to make himself
look better. - Benny Drinnon
This story seems to have come from "The Comics Detective" at
http://thecomicsdetective.blogspot.com/2010/07/dc-vs-victor-fox-testimony-of-wil\
\
l.html . I've been reading through it, but I haven't gotten through it all yet.

A slide show about the history of The Shadow radio show will be shown at
pulpfest on July 29. Read about it at the pulpfest web site at

I put some Shadow magazine illustrations in the photo section. They were on
ebay. Here is the seller's description: "5 pieces of original pen and ink art
by comic and pulp magazine artist Edd Cartier (1914-2008). The art is on
illustration board. 4 of the 5 are from 1946 pulp magazine titled "THE SEVEN
DEADLY ARTS" THE SHADOW MAGAZINE, OCTOBER 1946 #308 VOLUME 52, NO. 2. One is
from "THE LITTLE BLACK BOOKS" 1940s. This, i assume, is another pulp magazine.
The 3 large pieces of art measure 15" by 20". The 2 smaller ones measure 10" by
15". 4 of the 5 are signed by Edd Cartier. They each have the page number of the
magazine along with dialogue."
greetings to all
Anyone here a rumor of a new Shadow Movie being made?
I saw something about this, and was wondering if anyone else had?
Just curious.
Jasper
Welcome to the club. As to the story about the movie, I'm afraid that only The
Shadow knows. - the living Shadow fan
