A REVOLUTION IN THE DESI WEDDING INDUSTRY

September 2002 marked the beginning of a new era in the South Asian wedding industry all over the world. Sumit Arya launched the much awaited and much needed non-profit organization called 'Association of South Asian Wedding Professionals' (ASAWP) at an international level.

Wedding service providers were in a dire need of a common platform that can address their issues and concerns, arrange group discounts, invent and explore new marketing venues. ASAWP is fulfilling that need at an international level with full competency and integrity.

South Asia as we all know consists of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka Bhutan... wedding professionals in the homelands and as well as abroad.

Sumit Arya has a bachelor's degree in photography and graphic design from City College of New York. He headed various cultural and professional organizations at the school college level. He photographed 800+ South Asian weddings from 1990 to 2005, before Launching DulhanExpos in 2003.

DULHAN EXPO is saving the modern day South Asian Brides months worth of legwork by bringing wedding service professionals from all different categories under one roof. There is free admission, free parking, free magazines, free mehndi/photo-session, gifts/raffles, food tastings, live bands, live deejays and fashion show.
