I'm having severe withdrawal.  I need some good pictures of our cruise
experience to serve as visual Methadone.  The night sweats from not having my
room service club sandwich are getting bad.

Get those snapshots posted, shutterbugs.

I trust everyone had a safe journey yesterday (although some of us
just had to stay a little longer!) and are enjoying some downtime
before returning to the real world.

Many thanks to all of you for creating a fantastic week's worth of
good times.  There is nothing better than seeing my friends and
family with their hair down, shirts off, and hands full of drinks
dancing with wild abandon in the middle of the Caribbean.

Special thanks to Jeff Phillips for all his help with the t-
shirts...they looked great and we sure got noticed.

And Carl Andrews...the birthday party champagne reception in your
room was phenomenal.

Also special thank yous to Doug Sheley, Rich Wiseman and Mark Little
for organizing and shipping those viking costumes.  All you
vikings/viqueens made quite a splash at the costume contest...3rd
place, bitches!  Woohoo!

Seeing Bill Shafer's pics from the last post makes me wanna be back
on Half Moon Cay.  I know all you shutterbugs have hundreds of frames
to share....let the group know how we can get a peek.

Dear Cruise Crew:

Hours away now!  Just a few last minute reminders.

1. Print your "Signature Preferrred Boarding Pass" from Holland
America online.

2. If you have laptops and cameras and phones and curling irons and
such, you might want to bring a power strip for the room, 'cuz
electical outlets are in short supply.

3. Jacket or hoodie for nights out on the deck...it can get chilly if
its windy.

LOL, do forgive a little good-natured ribbing. And your room IS a
palace compared to the glorified broom closets some of us are staying
in! :-)

I'm so glad to hear Todd will be in earlier than you originally
thought and can join us for the pre-cruise festivities. Yep, everyone
IS going to love Todd...Joey and I were very delighted to meet him in
New Orleans and are looking very forward to getting to know him better.

Howzabout we meet up next Saturday at 6:30PM at at the Lido Bar (that's the bar by the pool in the middle of the ship...the one with the cover...not the aft pool) after the Bon Voyage party for our own little sail-away adult beverage toast?

That way we can meet up with you guys not from Dallas area, and put some faces with those names....

We'll still be in our Dallas shirts, in a big loud group, so let us know how to identify you!

FYI: If anyone has anything left to ship to FLL in advance of the
cruise I wanted to let you know that, according to the UPS Ground Map,
the last day to ship from Dallas for it to make it in time is Tuesday.
Transit from here to FLL takes 3 business days so you might even be
cutting it a bit too close if you wait until Tuesday. A 2 or 3 day
service upgrade might be worth the money. Also, Monday is a holiday so
that won't count toward transit (I don't think).

Of course Todd is staying in a palatial suite with Mr. Carl so it's
kinda hard to feel sorry for him, even if he is coming into town
around midnight. ;-)

Having been on many cruises, I've noticed a trend:

The spas tend to provide the best discounts during the cruise and will
publish specials in the daily "newsletter" delivered to your cabin.
The best deals are usually during port days, but essentially I
wouldn't pay full price when there are definitely deals to be had.

Have fun! - Holland America has great food and service and this ship
looks beautiful.
