The FamilySearch Indexing group is for all who use the FamilySearch Indexing software to index genealogical records worldwide. Discusses how to index, what is being indexed, issues regarding the records being indexed, and user issues with the software. LDS Stake Extraction Directors and genealogy society group administrators are also welcome, as their input may also prove helpful.

You do not have to be a member of the LDS Church to index, or to be a member of this list. Everyone is doing family history and genealogy these days, so the contributions of everyone will make a difference in some way to almost everyone once all the microfilm is scanned and indexed, and since they are gathering more records all the time to scan and then index, we'll have plenty of indexing to do for years to come.
