No other age group in history has experienced as much change during their lifetime. We started out a "Father Knows Best" / "Ozzie & Harriet" group. We were innocent of war as our Fathers had just returned from WWII and families were now their top priority. We began as a racially segregated group and progressed to integrated. Grand Prairie was a safe little town where parents allowed you to play outside all day and the streetlights coming on was our curfew. We hit PAY DIRT when 6 Flags over Texas opened. You behaved yourself because the store merchants and school staff members all knew your family...and they WOULD tell on you! We had clicks and you knew where you fit in, but our clicks did not KILL other click members. As teenagers we got our first taste of the really "bad" stuff. Politicians and Civil Rights leaders were assassinated. Vietnam became a familiar word. College campuses were mini-war zones. The Age of Aquarius was here. Some called for Peace, others demanded war.(Oops, guess that is still the case...slow learners, aren't we?) Sit-ins, computers, cell phones, microwaves, along with a whole array of other words came into being during our lifetime. So, this is where we will share, along with others who desire; memories, photos, family and prayers. You are encouraged to throw out your 2-cents worth on just about anything your little heart desires. We do request that you not surpass an "R" rated subject matter. Welcome to all and remember...We were and will always continue to be, there for each other as we unrelentlessly schedule our 5-Year Reunions, come rain or shine!
