London Bus Stop



A Swiss man, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop
where two English gents are waiting.

"Entschuldigung, koennen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he asks.
The two English gents just stare at him.

"Excusez-moi, parlez vous Francais?" he tries. The two
continue to stare.

"Parlare Italiano?" No response.

"Hablan ustedes Espanol?" Still nothing.

The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted. The first
Englishman turns to the second and says, "Y'know, maybe
we should learn a foreign language."

"Why?" says the other. "That guy knew four languages,
and it didn't do him any good."

Stranded




A ragged individual stranded for months on a small desert
island in the middle of the Pacific one day noticed a bottle
lying in the sand with a piece of paper in it. Rushing to
the bottle, he pulled out the cork and with shaking hands
withdrew the message. "Due to lack of maintenance,"
he read, "we regretfully have found it necessary to
cancel your e-mail account."

It Was A Dark
And Foggy Night...

.



A UNC grad stood on the side of the road hitch hiking on
a very dark night in the middle of a storm. The thunder
was rolling and no cars passed. The storm was so strong,
he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly
he saw a car come towards him and stop.



The man, without thinking about it, got in the car and closed
the door to realize that nobody was behind the wheel. The car
started slowly. He looked at the road and saw a curve ahead.
Scared, he started praying, and begged for his life. He hadn't
come out of shock, when just before he hit the curve, a hand
appeared through the window and moved the wheel. The man,
paralyzed in terror, watched how the hand appeared every time
before a curve.

He gathered his strength, got out of the car and ran
to the nearest town. Wet and in shock, he ran into...

UNC Trip To Rome

.



On a spring break trip to Italy, my classmates and
I were standing just inside St. Peter's Basilica, the second
largest church in the world. The tour guide explained,
"This church is so large that no man on earth could hit a
baseball from one end to the other, not Lou Gehrig, Babe
Ruth, or even Mark McGuire."



My group stared in silence at the beautiful marble
sculptures, intricate paintings, and glorious mosaics
all around the enormous building. Then one girl inter-
rupted the silence with an astonished question: "You
mean, they actually let them hit baseballs in here?"

Vet Visit

.



A man brought a limp dog into the Veterinary
Clinic. As he lay the dog on the table, the
doctor pulled out her stethoscope, placing it
on the dog's chest.

After a moment or two, the Vet shook her head
sadly and said, "I'm sorry, sir but your dog
has passed away."



"What?" screamed the man. "How can you tell? You
haven't done any testing on him or anything. I
want another opinion!"

With that, the Vet turned and left the room. In
a few moments, she returned with a Labrador Retriever.



The Retriever went right to work, checking the
poor dead dog out thoroughly. After a considerable
amount of sniffing, the Retriever sadly shook his
head and barked, "Woof! Woof!".

The Veterinarian then took the Labrador out and
returned in a few moments with a cat, who also
checked out the poor dog on the table. As had
his predecessor, the cat sadly shook his head and
went, "Miaow, Miaow."



He then jumped off the table and ran out of the room.
The Veterinarian handed the man a bill for $600...

The dog's owner went ballistic.



"$600! Just to tell me my dog is dead? This is
outrageous!"

Again, the Vet shook her head sadly and explained,
"If you had taken my word for it, it would have only
been $50, but no, you wanted testing... So with the
Lab Work and the Cat Scan..."

UNC Grad

.



A UNC grad* was having some physical problems
and his doctor told him that he had to drink warm
water one hour before breakfast. At the end of a
week he returned and the doctor asked if he was
feeling better. The man said that he actually felt
worse.

"Did you drink warm water an hour before breakfast
each day?"

"No," replied the grad, "All I could do was about
15 minutes!"

Seated one day at the organ
I was weary and ill at ease,
and my fingers wandered idly
over the noisy keys.
I know not what I was playing
or what I was dreaming then,
but I struck one chord of music
like the sound of a great "Amen."

It flooded the crimson twilight
like the close of an angel's psalm,

Seek the Lord while He may be found;

As the rain and the snow come down

mouth: It will not return to Me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Instead of the thornbush will grow the
pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle
will grow. This will be for the Lord's

New Dogs For UNC Grad

UNC grad & who had acquired two new dogs,
and asked her what their names were.

The girl responded by saying that one was named
Rolex and one was named Timex.

Her friend said, "Whoever heard of someone naming
dogs like that?

watch dogs!"

Up!!!

There is a two-letter word that perhaps has
more meaning than any other two-letter word,
and that is "UP."

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the
sky or at the top of the list, but when we waken
in the morning, why do we wake UP?



At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do
we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election
and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report?

We call UP our friends And we use it to brighten UP
a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers
and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and
some guys fix UP the old car.

At other times the little word has real special meaning.
People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an
appetite, and think UP excuses.

To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special.



And this UP is confusing:

A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP.



We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP
at night.

We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP!



To be knowledgeable of the proper uses of UP,
look UP the word in the dictionary. In a desk size
dictionary, the word up, takes UP almost 1/4th
the page and definitions add UP to about thirty.

If you are UP to it, you might try building UP
a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take
UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP,
you may wind UP with a hundred or more.

When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding
UP . When the sun comes out we say it is clearing
UP.

When it rains, it wets UP the earth. When it doesn't
rain for awhile, things dry UP.



One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP,
for now my time is UP, so.............

I'll shut UP....!

But these are written so that you may

Lord, and He will have mercy on him,

As the rain and the snow come down

No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.
P U R P O S E
But these are written so that you may
believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the
Son of God, and that by believing in
Him you will have life. Jn 20:31

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near. Let the
wicked forsake his way and the evil
man his thoughts. Let him turn to the
Lord, and He will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for He will freely
pardon. "For My thoughts are not
your thoughts, neither are your ways
My ways," declares the Lord. "As the
heavens are higher than the earth, so
are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down
from heaven, and do not return to it
without watering the earth and making
it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed
for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is My word that goes out from My
mouth: It will not return to Me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth
in peace; the mountains and hills will
burst into song before you, and all the
trees of the field will clap their hands.
Instead of the thornbush will grow the
pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle
will grow. This will be for the Lord's
renown, for an everlasting sign, which
will not be destroyed." Is 55

O Lord, you have searched me and you
know me. You know when I sit and when
I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying
down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know
it completely, O Lord. You hem me in -
behind and before; you have laid your

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where
can I flee from your presence? If I go up
to the heavens, you are there; if I make

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide

How precious to me are your thoughts,
O God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would
outnumber the grains of sand. When
I awake, I am still with you. Search me,
O God, and know my heart; test me
and know my anxious thoughts. See
if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

No one (male/female - American, Muslim, Jew, Catholic, Hindu, Buddhist, Asian, Presbyterian, European, Baptist, Brazilian, Mormons, Methodist, French, etc. ) comes (arrives) to the Father (with GOD in Heaven) EXCEPT BY (through) ME (no other name). *** This wonderful loving GOD gives you the choice - - - (Rev. 3:20) {Please note that church membership, baptism, doing good things, etc. are not requirements for becoming a Christian - however they are great afterwards!!!} *** Jesus said, "Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell, damnation, eternal punishment), and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life (Heaven, eternal happiness, forever with God), and only a few find it.

But these are written so that you may
believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the
Son of God, and that by believing in
Him you will have life. Jn 20:31

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near. Let the
wicked forsake his way and the evil
man his thoughts. Let him turn to the
Lord, and He will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for He will freely
pardon. "For My thoughts are not
your thoughts, neither are your ways
My ways," declares the Lord. "As the
heavens are higher than the earth, so
are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down
from heaven, and do not return to it
without watering the earth and making
it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed

so is My word that goes out from My
mouth: It will not return to Me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth
in peace; the mountains and hills will
burst into song before you, and all the
trees of the field will clap their hands.
Instead of the thornbush will grow the
pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle
will grow. This will be for the Lord's
renown, for an everlasting sign, which

the city. Her mother noticed she was looking a little peaked
and asked, "Honey, are you feeling all right?"

"Not really," the UNC grad replied. "I'm nauseous from sitting
backward on the train."

"Poor dear," Mom said. "Why didn't you ask the person sitting
across from you to switch seats for a while?"

"I couldn't," replied the UNC grad, "there was no one there."

Here's how it will end (perhaps very soon):

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride, beautifully
dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from
the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men,
and He will live with them. They will be His people, and
God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will
wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more
death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of
thing has passed away.
