Private Group: For Moms who were sent to the Unwed Mother HOMES and Female Adoptees born in or near the HOMES!

*We are the girls who were sent to the HOMES that were built to hide us.

Despite being told we would move on and forget, we will never forget the trauma of being sent away. We will never forget the way in which we were treated, or the overwhelming fear, shame, and aloneness that we felt. But, most of all, we will never forget the heartbreak of being separated from our babies.

"HOME of the blues" is a safe place where you can feel free to discuss all those issues and more. The HOMES are our common bond, the bond that unites us, the bond that makes us "sisters" of the heart. We have no agenda here, we simply discuss whatever is on our mind. Might it be the loss of our children to adoption and the difficult process of search and reunion, or the heart wrenching tragedy of when death is found at the end of a search. Then, at times, we simply talk about the everyday happenings going on in our lives.

We have joined this group to voice our issues and to hear from the very women who experienced life at an unwed mother's HOME, learning what our mothers endured for the sake of their babies. Those babies being us.

We believe that by sharing our stories and experiences as a result of adoption, we can grow stronger and make new friendships that will last a lifetime. Yes, we cry together, but more importantly, we make time to laugh together.
