This is a sister list of HPforGrownups and is intended for those who want to receive announcements about news, book release dates, fanfiction, and so on; posts to this list must be Harry Potter, HPfGU, or fandom-related. This is not a discussion list, so if you have any questions about a post you see here, please send it directly to the author of the post.

The following announcements are permitted (not an exhaustive list - please check with the Moderators if you are unsure about your message):

*** ADMIN messages from the Moderator Team (copies of those posted to the main group) *** Announcements of chat room sessions *** Plugs of fanfiction (one plug per chapter by the author) *** Plugs of HP-related events (including regional Members' meetings) *** Plugs of new HP websites or of new HP information on other websites *** News releases, with links (this should include things related to the Warner Brothers' movie) *** Fun HP links, such as Sorting Hat quizzes *** Alerts to new HP merchandise *** JKR sightings; JKR events (book signings, tours, TV appearances, chats, etc.) *** Information on HP fan clubs.

Before a message is approved, one of the moderators will check that any links in the message work, and may edit the announcement for grammar, spelling, etc., if necessary.
