This e-mail group was originally created to help communication among Hazelwood West PAWS, which a "sub-committee" of the PTSA. It has turned into much more of a communication tool for all parents. I am just a parent volunteer who figures that if I can find out information, I might as well share it with others. So, while the group started out to help the PAW parents, it has turned into just a Hazelwood West e-mail information group. For those of you unfamiliar with PAWs - it is an organization made up of parents from Hazelwood West who are interested in helping to make our school a great place. Our members help out with things such as selling tickets, working the candy cart, staffing the bonfire, attending sporting events, staffing junior high events, chaperoning, etc. It is a great way to get to know your child's school. Your child spends the majority of their day at school and is influenced greatly by what goes on there - so, jump in and be a part of that influence!! We do use this e-mail group to solicit volunteers for different events, but no one should ever feel obligated. If you can help, great. If not, that's fine too. I just want to provide the opportunity to parents who are wanting to get involved. So, welcome to our group, and if you have any questions, let me know.
