This group is for Independent Book Reviewers, that is those who are not associated with big publications, magazines etc., and will provide a good space for authors, publicists, publishers etc. to post information about upcoming books for review and for reviewers to respond, post their reviews etc.

It is presumed that your services as a reviewer are free. It is also presumed that the books are yours to keep. If you charge for your review services, mention that in your introduction and inform the author/publisher etc., at the beginning itself so that there is no misunderstanding.

If the review is taking more time than originally estimated, please post a message to the author / publicist explaining the reasons for the delay and give a revised schedule. If you are finding it difficult or impossible to proceed with the book because the subject is handled poorly or the style is difficult, please inform the author/publisher/publicist, who sent the book to you. You may like to keep the group also informed. This will be fair to all concerned.
