The primary function of this list is to aid the self-organisation of independent socialists inside and outside the Socialist Alliance. The list was originally for SA members only but it has been collectively agreed that the list should be widened to include those independents who wish to work together inside and outside the Socialist Alliance. The list is not anti-group and group members are welcome so long as they respect the fact that the forum is primarily for Indies.

The list is for those who wish to work and potentially meet together so we ask that people joining the list respect this (those looking for a forum purely for the sake of polemical exchanges will find more appropriate lists elsewhere on the net). Geographically the list is primarily intended for socialists in England.

The list is moderated but comrades are encouraged to behave in a polite and comradely fashion - so that the moderators have little to do but administer the list . Abusive and uncomradely behaviour won't be tolerated.
