Kenneth "Ken" Kallmeyer, 71, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at home in Villa Hills, Kentucky. He was founder and owner of Ken's Crescent Springs Service. He was a lifetime member and retired Fire Chief for the Crescent Springs/Villa Hills Fire Department, a member of Towing and Recovery Association in Kentucky and Ohio, Founder and Former President of Promenade Palace in Latonia, a member of Northern Kentucky Square Dancers Federation, Member of Caller lab Association of Square Dance Callers, member of American Truck Historical Society International, member of the Lions Club, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was predeceased by his wife Jan, in 1992, and Brother Leonard (Jenny) in 2001. Visitation will be Friday, October 12, 2012, from 4-8 pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky. 41018. Funeral Service will be 10 am, Saturday October 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 2474 Lorraine Court, Crescent Springs, Ky 41017. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. Double H will have "open mike" for new callers from 7:00 to 8:00, before our
dances, beginning this Saturday, October 13.  Hope you will come early and
support the new callers.  Our regular dance will be from 8:00 to 10:00.  Wes
will be calling, with Ellis cueing rounds and line dancing.

Also, don't forget our Pink Dance on October 27 with the club's proceeds from
half and half and the cake walk being donated to American Cancer Society.

Would you please post this in the Club Calendar. �Thanks.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to dance in exhibition yesterday at Clark Memorial Hospital's employee appreciation day. As a retiree from Clark, Art is well-known by most employees at Clark, and since this event had a western theme he was asked to provide entertainment in the form of square dancing (and line dancing). �Samuel Mestel called to two squares, made up of adult dancers and children from his Southern Stars youth club. A very special thank you goes to Jennie Mestel for working with us to put this exhibition together. � Sorry, space limitations did not permit us to invite all area dancers. �

Clark employees were very enthusiastic and appreciative of our performance. � Great job everyone!

Bob is a well known Caller in the KSDA area from Ohio.

Bob went to the ER at local hospital Friday(10/12/12)night with left side of his face "drooping and slurring of words". Doctors were very quick with getting tests started.

All test come back negative for stroke, heart attach, seizures. He was diagnosed with Belle's Palsy. It has effected the left side of his face and his left eye. He uses a patch on his eye at night to keep it closed so it does not get dried out and drops every hour during the day time. The palsy is a viral infection of the nerves in his face. Time should heal it all. Doctors said usually 2 - 4 weeks and he will see some large improvement.

It is ok to put out a message to all the dancers on his condition. As you well know, prayers do help.

Just a reminder ......................

Sunnyside Dances tonight, November 2nd at Grant Line UMC at 4810 Grant Line Road, New Albany.

The Dance is our "Annual Soup Dance" for the church. Admission will be non-perishable food items for the church's Thanksgiving Food Baskets. Please be generous with your donations as this will be the last year for this dance. As of December 31st, Grant Line UMC will be closing their doors. It will be a sad day indeed to see a House of Worship close its doors!

Sunnyside will be moving across the road to the elementary school in January until further notice. The "TOY DANCE" on December 7th will also be held at the school which will provide more floor space.

Just received from Joe and Faye Mueller's daughter.

Just wanted to let all know Dads sister passed away last night, nothing on layout yet.

That leaves Joe with no family. Also, Faye and Joe are both having health problems..

I will let all know more later, I am using Joe's e-mail so I can let all their friends know.

Thanks to all for being such good friends to my Mom And Dad.
