Kairos News Readers,
This afternoon I sent the following letter to two key officials of the
Hillary Clinton Campaign for President. Their email addresses are listed
below in case you choose to follow up on this matter yourself.

Subject: Disparaging remarks about women.
Dear Sir or Madam,
It is my firm belief that all individuals have a right to be treated with
respect and basic human dignity. This belief necessarily leads me to
conclude that women should not be treated like second class citizens, nor
should women be degraded by sexist, derogatory statements or other attempts
to debase their character.
As you are aware, radio personality Don Imus was recently fired because of
racist and sexist statements that he made in the public media. Senator
Hillary Clinton was one of the very first to call for the termination of his
job because of his remarks.
It has now come to my attention that Senator Clinton has accepted vast
amounts of money--far in excess of $1,000,000.00--from individuals such as a
"rapper" named Timbaland, who regularly refers to women as "Ho's" in his
songs, as well as from Hugh Heffner, who has likely done more over the years
to degrade and debase women than any other one individual in the past
century.
In short, I am completely appalled by Senator Clintons hypocrisy and
political allegiance with men who regularly demean and debase women. For
this reason I believe that out of a basic sense of common decency and public
responsibility, Senator Clinton should respond by taking responsible action
in the following two ways.
First, I believe that Senator Clinton should promptly return all monies
received from these men, as well as from other individuals who make their
livelihood by degrading and demeaning women.
Secondly, for the sake of the status of women in this country and throughout
the world, it is my belief that Hillary Clinton should immediately resign
from all public offices--especially the office of U.S. Senator--and retire
from public life.
The citizens of the United States need to have public officials who seek the
welfare of ALL of its citizens, including women. By her actions, Senator
Clinton has obviously indicated that she is not an acceptable advocate for
the rights of the citizens of the United States, especially women, that
money is clearly more important to Senator Clinton than the welfare of
American citizens, especially women, and that Senator Clinton is apparently
willing to do just about anything, no matter how harmful the ramifications
of her behavior may be, to support those with a clear purpose of demeaning
and debasing American Citizens, especially women, in order to further her
career.
In concert with Senator Clinton's eloquent critique of Don Imus'
inappropriate statements, it should also be clearly obvious to everyone that
someone with the sexist attitudes exemplified by the behavior of Senator
Clinton should rightfully be precluded from holding such a responsible
office now and in the future.
Respectfully yours,
The Rev. Dr. Christopher Hershman
