I understand your enthusiasm for these things and your passion for getting
things right, however, I must point out the following:
No one, and I mean no one, would want Woonsocket's school system or level of
police training. No one would want their fire equipment either. Surpluses are
nice but when it is from the result of not properly investing in your community,
they are kind of a fraud.
By the way, my home finances are more complicated then Gloucester's.
This all fall backs to an old issue. The watchdogs want to know they are not
being cheated by a penny and spending as little as possible. At the same time,
their public policy could be doing incredible damage and they do not seem to
care.
