In case you are not already aware, Alliance For A Livable Newport will be
conducting two city council candidate forums, one on October 26 for the ward
candidates and one on October 30 for the at-large candidates. Both will be
held in the City Council Chambers starting at 7pm. The League of Women
Voters will co-sponsor the forums. We will be recording the forums and the
tapes will be run on public access television. Also, ALN is preparing
written questions for the council candidates, and their responses will be
posted on the ALN website. Our intent is to get the candidates on record
regarding the major issues facing Newport.
