Not only have the flag problems resurfaced at Waites Wharf, but the STOP sign is also back. As I was driving down Waites Wharf on Saturday afternoon, two individuals emerged from the booth on the south side of the road and proceeded to step into the middle of the road in an attempt to stop my vehicle, pointing to their STOP sign on north side of the road as their authority to do so. I of course ignored them, and continued to the end of the street where I turned around and drove back by the two dumbfounded attendants. Waites Wharf is a public street, and the abutting land owners have no legal right to stop cars from travelling on the street, and surely have no legal right to charge individuals for driving on this public street.
