Police Consultant -- did I read correctly ?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #322 of 6049 |
Tuesday's Newport Daily News featured the story "Firm would work
with chief, police" written by M. Catherine Callahan. The article
stated that the hired consultant, "Badgequest," would be expected --
among other things -- to "Establish performance goals for the
police chief and the Police Department."

Could someone in the know explain why is this task being included
and/or educate us on the CURRENT performance goals for the police
chief and police department?

I would certainly like to think that the chief and his department
has been operating to date with MEANINGFUL performance goals prior
to this current flap. If not, then why not and what other departments might have
similar issues?

I'm just wondering since this highly automated department, one of the
largest collectors of data within the city, ought to be the model for
performance goals.

Mike
