The post-election beginning of a new term is the best -- if not the
only -- time for the City Council to move on the obvious problems
mentioned in the newspaper story and Mike's comment.
If the Council does not not act within the next few weeks, we can
forget about any attempt to realistically address these and other
financial matters.
And we ought to immediately target recalcitrant Council members for
replacement in 2006.
