This list is for announcement and minor discussion of political or activist issues relevant to polyamory and relationships. For example, new legislation; judicial decisions; gatherings and events; being out; etc.

Rules of engagement:
Stay on topic! All posts should relate to the focus of the list--if you're not sure, check with the moderator or question the list members in general for input.

Stay courteous and sane. We expect occasional flares, but no flaming. While disagreement is fine, disrespect, namecalling, or put downs are not.

Stick to discussing substantive points rather than any personal attacks.

Stay brief when possible and limit responses like "ditto," or "I agree," which add little to the discussion. Before you respond ask yourself if what you are saying is a contribution to the dicussion, or just a reflex response.

Send personal responses to individuals, not the list. If the individual asks you to not contact them personally, STOP. You will be promptly removed from the list if you don't. This isn't a chat list or a flirt list--keep those in your personal emails; remember you are posting to a large group of people.

Do not post your personal ad on the list or you will be removed. It's fine to describe your life circumstances, indicate a willingness to meet new people, etc, but a post that is clearly a personal ad is not.

No selling or marketing of services and products. The only exception is poly related events, which can be annouced without prior approval. Do not forward commercial or political emails to the list.
