Monash University Islamic Society (MUIS) is a Students Community, based on the principles of brotherhood , rationalism , co-ordination and co-operation to take care of the Islamic activities in Monash University , and make Muslim students of the university aware about the relevant information and activities.
The two main goals of the society are:
1.To conduct and to provide information about the Islamic activities inside and outside the university. This will contain:
1.1 Information about prayer timings and Musallahs in Melbourne.
1.2 Information on halal food items.( students can ask questions through the link itself).
1.3 Conduction of Jumaa' Prayers in the campus
1.4 Conduction of Islamic lectures inside the campus.
1.5 Arrangement for social gatherings inside the campus such as Bar-be-Que, etc.
2.To act as an interface between Muslim and non-Muslim students, in order to inculcate a feeling of brotherhood and tranquility between them.
2.1 To provide information to non-Muslims students about Islam and to make them realize the real truth and blessing that Allah(SWT) has bestowed upon humankind .
2.2 To create an atmosphere of love and peace across the campus,which is conducive for the generation of a healthy society.
