and some places nearby.

The ride would be 150 to 200 km , one way. Pl plan accordingly.

This ride is mandatory for all newbies riding to RM .

Hello All,
There is a Ride to Vellore on 2/January/2010.

The Plan:
Ride out on Saturday (2.Jan.2010) Early morning hours from here . Breakfast at
Ranipet(110 km).
Reach Vellore(30 km) , Ride to Amirthi forest (25 km from vellore).

Ride through the forest terrain, sight some flora and fauna, relax at the
waterfall and reach  vellore for lunch.

Return to Chennai around sunset.


NOTE : For Newbies,

 There is Wedding reception of our Clubbie happening on the same day at Vellore,
Some of us might stay overnight and return next morning. Those interested in
joining pl confirm with Joe.

This ride would be MANDATORY for those who have registered for RIDER MANIA.

28 november , saturday :get out from chennai.
Jamunamathur : 250 km from here on the javadhu hills.
We would ride there , spend some time and ride to yelagiri around evening and
spend the night there.
29 th, sunday. Ride out from yelagiri visit a water fall , and return.
If time permits , we shall stop at ambur for some leather shopping and biriyani.

visiting this site. It has the Asia's largest engine and the old

The annual august routine is here , The madras day.
  We have been riding on this day of the year since 2006, celebrating the
founding of madras (now chennai).
The ride itinerary has been posted on a earlier mail from bharat.

Since the entries to light house are already over, the remaining of us would be
riding to GMR.


  Those of u who are interested to join pl add ur name to the data base.

If u are bringing a pillion  do get them along with helmet and shoes.

Pl do not land up for the ride wearing  sleeve less jacket  , shorts, half
trousers, slippers, army hats, sports caps, etc. This night sound funny yet it
had happened before.

A overnight ride (read two day ride ) has been planned this weekend.
Leave early on saturday morning.
Chennai - pondy - cuddalore - chidambaram - pitchavaram. Total distance 200 km
one way.
Pitchavaram is significant for its back waters, mangroves and coracle rides.
  The other places of interest would cover the thillai temple, kollidam river,
and polur jayaraman mess.

Overnight stay could be at chidambaram.
  Ride back on sunday.

I shall post the ride timing and assemble point sooner.
Full face helmets and shoes mandatory for both riders and pilions.
Do carry necessary documents for your self and the vehicle.
Trunks and towel if you are interested in taking a dip .
A jacket , that would save ur skin from bad weather, dirt , and bruises.

  Those interested in joining the ride , do send a confirmation e mail either to
me or joe before friday . This would ease the booking for accomodation.
