More on "Jolly Roger" kit by Lindberg   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1911 of 2829 |
Well, I finally bit the bullet and wrote a check for
Lindberg's "Jolly Roger" model, and now my interest is REALLY
piqued! What I had thought at first examination to be a Brig
now stands revealed as a 30-gun Man 'o' War, probably a Royal
Navy frigate, tho' her gallery appears more flamboyant than most
of the RN frigates in my references. Perhaps French?

Oh, another oddity. The parts provided for the display stand
include a name-plate for "Jolly Roger", and another one for
"Flying Dutchman". I'd love to talk to the blokes who designed
this kit and find out what ship(s) she's actually modeled on!

Regards;
