Mr. Moderator says I should introduce myself to the group and inform
you what kind of model ships I like to build - that's the simple
part - in a word - easy! Airfix rules, OK?

However, I'm a model railroader first and foremost and only got a
boat kit this weekend to shut the SWMBO up! She wanted me to buy the
Billings Mayflower, but I took one look at the contents and put it
back on the shelf along with a few 'those look nice' Constructo kits.
We ended up with the Billings 'HMS Renown Pinnace' and already skills
from the 'Other' hobby have come into play bashing the bits I didn't
like in the Billings kit.
I've got some books on order as this planking lark doesn't look as
simple as the instructions ( that's a laugh for a start!) make it
look.
So, that's me and I can guarantee you'll get liots of 'Stooopid'
questions as get further into this sideline!
