Hi Delbert,
Well, the books arrived yesterday, one of which immediately got
relegated to the "Nice to have, but.... shelf"!
The other two gave conflicting advice on planking, so I'm no further
enlightened.
The pinnace now has the Keel and Bulkheads made up and the deck
fittings are assembled, modified and painted ready to pop onto the
deck.
Next stage is to get some wood and carve some formers for the stem
and stern to lay the planking on. - This will probably be my hardest
task - me and carving to shape don't go together.
I changed some of the kit plastic details for much nicer brass
fittings and now am on the look out for some 1/35 scale figures to
man the pinnace. I'd like a steersman and a couple of ABs plus an
Admiral!
Oh, if I've used the wrong terms, then forgive me, but I am an ex-
crab with 27 yrs service in the RAF.!
