PRESS RELEASE

S/S NOMADIC
MOTHERSHIP OF THE RMS TITANIC
(Last White Star Line Boat in the world)

SALE BY AUCTION
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10th 2005 TO THE PARISIAN COURT

Paris, November 1st 2005.

S/S NOMADIC (former tender of the RMS TITANIC) is moored in Le Havre docks, quai de Seine, since April 2003.

She is still afloat thanks to the french Ministry of Culture and Communication, at this period Jean-Jacques Aillagon.

The sale by auction, reserve price 500.000 Euros, will be on Thursday, November 10th 2005 at 02h30 pm, to the
Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris (Palais de Justice - 4, boulevard du Palais - 75001 Paris).

To our knowledge, after the episode "The Nomadic and the umbrellas of Cherbourg" (Cité de La Mer...), are in the
ranks for the purchase: an american collector, a company from Monaco, 2 or 3 private individuals (we do not have
many information...) and the british governement through Belfast City Council for a huge project in Belfast (Titanic Quarter).

The French Titanic Society who seems to succeed to save the S/S NOMADIC is very proud but is sorry to heard
that all the solutions come from foreigner.

The international petition through Internet collects more than 2200 signatures + 1200 on paper from the Cherbourg
residents.

S/S NOMADIC built in 1911 by Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast transhiped the first and second classes
passengers (John Jacob Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim, Molly Brown...) to the RMS Titanic, during her Cherbourg
call, in April 10th 1912. She served for the american soldiers landings during the two world wars, but also for
the evacuation of Cherbourg and Le Havre populations. At the time of the White Star Line merger with Cunard Line,
S/S NOMADIC renamed "INGENIEUR MINARD" served for the great liners calls in Cherbourg, like "Queen Mary"
and "Queen Elizabeth".
