Hello Captain;
First of all, I want to thank you and everyone on our site for your good wishes as to my getting well. Because I have something called Congestive Heart Failure, I occasionally become very sick and quite disabled now and then. I generally come back to my health, and I have every belief that I will do so soon.
Second of all, I loved looking at your site. I love your models. You may have me as a customer some day soon. I was blown away by the large model of The Maine. This is my favorite US Navy warship. Living up in Maine, it is no surprise. I have built a few models of this ship to a semi-scale, and someday will send for the disc of plans and pictures (which is cheaper than the
kit) to build another.
I also loved the Russian ships from Tsushima Strait. The old Ironclads and Pre-Dreadnoughts before 1908 are fascinating. Very science-fiction in a Jules Verne way.
I should be back to creating my models and toys soon for the craft fairs I go to in Summer and Fall in Central Maine. In the good weather, I put out a canopy in my yard and work outdoors. This is always good for getting well. My dog also likes my company out there all day.
Anyway, all of you keep up the good work. Keep that Imagination and Creativity going. I often think that if Model Makers from all over the world got together, we would find out that there are very few differences between Humans which cannot be solved to the happiness of all.

Subject: Re: Model ships ------- re new member introHello;I live up in Maine, USA. I also make a lot of models and toys out of wood. Lately, I have been very ill with my heart and lung condition. I have been passing a lot of time making a lot of paper model aeroplanes which I download from Fiddlers' Green. Hopefully, some day they will offer a few boat and ship kits. When my health improves, I hope to be back out there selling a lot of my wooden work at various craft fairs in Central Maine. Always good to hear from other model makers.
