I guess my first wooden boat model was a tug from Hobby Shack. I
remember that the wood die cutting was so very good. As I put it
together for my son I had it ready for planking before I remember the
glue part. The second model was a Hot Shot from Dumas. The die cutting
was more like what you would get from a old axe. Somehow it was
finished put sure got to know about mixing woood flour and glue. The
next one was a Midwest flat bottom skift. I remember opening the 24"
long box and finding this little pile of wood. But it was a great
builder and lasted years. A little boy visiting our home spelled it's
dome.
So now I'm building a flat bottom push boat from plans, and a Lindberg
Blue devil.
Being the sole west coast employee for Coles Power Models sure has cut
into my building time. By the way if anyone needs brass props let me
know cause I have a bunch and there going to waste. Well dinner is
here got to go. Thanks for having me your group
Greg
