New to the Group

Greetings to all!

Please permit me to introduce myself.  The first ship model I built was a small kit of Mikasa, back in 1962.  My family had just visited the ship, and I was thrilled to find a kit of it in a small shop near Tokyo soon thereafter.  After building the model, I was hooked!

My interest in ships led me to become a naval architect, and I've had the privilege of designing a number of interesting vessels in the past 30 years.

Although I haven't seen too many ship models I didn't like, my ship modelling interest primarily is in the area of radio-controlled scale models.  The current project is an Invader-class tug obtained from Harbor Models.

I am truly looking forward to participating in the group.

Best regards,
Greg Castleman
