Back when I used to use a brush for everything, the local store only had
Testors enamel paints. They were a real pain.
Then one day i got may hands on some Humbrol paints, and loved them
Unfortunately, the company went under in August 2006. Evidently Hornby has
purchased the company and plans to continue the products.
Now, for everything but small parts, I use acrylic with an airbrush.
I first used an airbrush for camouflage on WW2 military models. It made it
easy to blend the camouflage and depending on how I thinned the paint, I
could get any finish I wanted.
Think of this way... what would a car look like if it was painted with a
brush ? Not so good.
Cheers !
