Sorry to trouble the happy seas of model building, but as you on the
SSL and SMF Yahoo groups are aware, a number of ship modelers have
been defrauded of hundreds of dollars in the past couple of months by
"Capt Dennis" Lunde of Poulsbo, WA, using the email address
shipmodelling@wavecable. (as of August `07). My purpose here to getcom
the word out on this fellow and nip his nefarious ways.
In July he advertised a bunch of ship model kits on the lists at
cut-throat prices. A number of modelers bit and sent him money orders
for payment. When the kits never arrived, his "wife" posted a sob
story about him being sick. An astute member on SMF finally got
suspicious earlier this week, and found the following internet trail
on this fellow:

He's obviously had a long history of preying on unsuspecting
hobbyists, going by the names Capt Dennis, Capt Deno, "Ray Clayton",
LOTRDioman, Deno Raye, Raye Deno, etc. When he was defrauding folks in
the miniature figures world, his operations went by the names
"Silvercast" and "Miniature World USA."
I note that "scaleshipwright@yahoo.com " has posted here... I firmly
believe that this is the good "Capt."
So be warned: Don't deal with this guy.
