How about making them using a vacuuformer?  I have plans for making your own vacuuformer .  Total cost about 3dollars. The only extra you would need is some sheet styrene. Ron Wild

I have purchased white metal life boats for my USAT Dorchester model.  Problem is that by the time I build the davits to scale, the life boats will be way too heavy of the davits.  Anybody know where I can get some good plastic 1/200 (oops, I mean 1/16 inch scale) lifeboats?  Full size they were 28 foot long.

Interesting item, the SS Dorchester used the same make and model Davits as the RMS Titanic.  They must have been bad luck.

I'd suggest using one of the white metal boats as a master and vacuforming the hull then using plastic strip andding thwarts and detail to the interior...
