Please visit our website at www.ntfda.org . In FY 2002 in the state of Texas, there were 183,057 cases of "reported" child abuse. Of those cases reported 152,158 cases were uncomfirmed or maliciously false. The number is much higher for 2003. So you see, there are well over 100,000 families suffering in Texas just like YOU. Hard to believe? Many of these parents do not get their children back in a timely way, if ever, despite the fact that they were later determined to be innocent or regardless of the number of "hoops" they jumped through or services they participated in.

North Texas Family Defense Association was formed to assist parents in their fight with Child Protective Services (CPS). The primary purpose is to provide a forum for parents, grandparents and all those impacted by CPS to share knowledge and resources in order to more effectively fight CPS and protect their families and to offer support of each other as we tread through the nightmare of dealing with CPS. The secondary purpose is to promote public awareness about this issue and advocate for change both in the state of Texas as well as on a national level.
