Welcome to New Zealand Locomotives.

This group is for anyone interested in the railway operations and motive power scenes in New Zealand. In addition to news and discussions, the group has a wide range of around 2000 photographs, in both the Files and Photos sections.

For followers of the contemporary railway scene, the group features locomotive fleet location listings. These trace the ever-changing regional fleets of KiwiRail and other commercial operators, and also provide location updates for the shunt loco fleet.

The group also has available the latest freight and passenger train timetables for KiwiRail and other operators in New Zealand. These can be a useful guide for railfanning.
