The Northern Virginia Fur Group (NoVAFur) is for any "furry" (Lifestylers, Animal Spiritualists, Anthropomorphic fans, Anime Cat Girls&Boys, Dragons, Reptiles, Therians, Fish, etc.) in the Northern Virginia Area near Washington DC.

NoVAFur warmly welcomes those from the Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. NoVAFur was primarily intended as a meeting and exchange forum for Northern Virginia furs/furries - however others interested (including spouse/mates, fans, artists, writers, friends, etc) are very welcome to join - for the discussions, exchanges, activities and public events. NoVAFur does not discriminate by age, spiritual beliefs, gender or sexual orientation. We recommend that anyone from outside the Metro DC area, consider other mailing lists, like our sister group in Maryland, the Maryland Furry Group

Notice for new prospective members: Due to concerns arising since Jun e of 2002, prospective members applying are sent a short questionare to fill out and return via email. Even a short email introduction to the moderators at NoVAFur-owner@yahoogroups.com mentioning someone else in the group that they know by name will speed the approval process. Members of the media or their affiliates are not welcome due to a desire to preserves it's members privacy and will reject or revoke membership for that reason. If the questionare is not returned completed honestly - the application may not be approved. Also NoVAFur members include minors, but the group is considered mature, PG-13 rated. Those with adult profiles or responding inappropriately (e.g. explicitly inviting sexual favors, or fetish partners) will be removed or their application allowed to expire unapproved after 14 days.
