The membership role of "PONDERS INTERNATIONAL" ranges world-wide from the Novice to the Master Gardener.
Please feel free to share your favorite photos, maintenance tips, plant and fish including Koi expertise, water gardening and ponding problems, solutions or questions.
Take any civilization, any form of major human development such as the Renaissance, the Industrial Revolution or the present-day concerns for the environmental conservation and examine their effect on the art of garden design at the time. What do you see as the crowning focal point in the center of the resulting gardens? Water!
From the glitter of a sunbeam reflecting from the water, the tinkle of a tiny fountain, the scent of a beautiful tropical waterlily, to the lazy lacy motion of a long-finned Koi, every sense is both stimulated and soothed by a pond in your garden. A water feature invites you to reflect in a relaxing mode which has truly become the highlight of your unique garden.
The creation of this tranquil little world is not difficult. There are as many ways to accomplish it as there are settings. It can be small, even in a container on the porch, deck or patio. It can be huge, a natural bottomed wetland environment teeming with wildlife. For most of us however, it is somewhere in between and the planning and building of this special water feature can be as much of a joy as the end result. For anyone who has witnessed the magic of a backyard water garden or pond, they are immediately taken by its beauty and peacefulness.
Celebrate the awesome beauty of our combined efforts with that of "Mother Nature's", as "PONDERS INTERNATIONAL" extends a very warm invitation to add your name to its growing membership role. On behalf of the entire "P.I." membership, we welcome you and look forward to your active participation.
