Sirs:

I'm not aware of the previous discussions regarding posting on FB.  Please delete na lang if ever meron similiar reaction before.

For information of everybody (sorry kung redundant na), FB is a social networking without strict censorship.  Meaning, anything goes as long as it does violate the rules of FB.  Well of course we know that one of such restrictions is posting nude images (sana payagan na nila,  hehehehe).  But as to the posting of what we consider as classified information, FB has no tailored restrictions for that, kasi naman, US ang nagdesign ng FB (sorry uli kung mali ako).  So, hindi naman alam ng mga FB webmasters kung ano ang classified information pertaining to our national security.  In my opinion, it's up to us, individual members, to determine what is classified or not, or will it do us harm and to our country if ever mag post tayo ng kung anik anik sa FB natin.   Dapat siguro, each one of us should be aware and responsible enough of what we are posting in our FB accounts. Thus, unwittingly dun sa iba, nakakapagpost sila ng mga information na considered as classified, such as movement or deployment of troops.

i agree with sir harold....its a simple matter of er-orienting the members of the sandatahang lakas ng pilipinas and mandating some standard regulations on involving such social networking.. .konting imposing ng discipline lang yan mga sir...nowadays technological breakthroughs on social life such as these has some good and bad impact on our estemeed memebers of afp that must be balanced in order to maintain harmony and security...its like undergoing basic training di ba?....kudoz sa pamayanan ng mga mandirigmang musang sa loob at labas ng inyong paglilingkod sa bayan, nawa'y lalong sumingasing ang kabangisan ng inyong kabayanihan, katapangan at integridad para sa kapakanan ng lahat...HOOAAH! !! That is true.

Me advantages at disadvantages ang social networking sites.

Isang sentimong suhestiyon lamang.

Best regards!

While I acknowledge the individual rights of AFP personnel to socially e-network, I don't discount also the possibility that matters pertaining to OPSEC are inadvertently/ unknowingly/ cluelessly being shared electronically to "those who do not need to know". This preemptive (or shall I say "damage control") move by the AFP is indeed relevant in these times of e-uncertainty.

To those who love to share every minute info about themselves or their friends on e-network, I respectfully urge you to be very discerning in your posts.

Subject: Daily Joke ~ Four fathers

Four expectant fathers were in a Minneapolis hospital waiting room while their
wives were in labor.
The nurse arrived and proudly announced to the first man, "Congratulations, sir.
You're the father of twins!"

"What a coincidence! I work for the Minnesota Twins Baseball team!"

Later the nurse returned and congratulated the second father on the birth of his
triplets.

"Wow! That's incredible! I work for the 3M Corporation."

An hour later, the nurse returned to congratulate the third man on the
birth of his quadruplets. Stunned, he barely could reply, "I don't believe it! I
work for the Four Seasons Hotel!"
After this, everyone turned to the fourth guy who had just fainted. The nurse
rushed to his side. As he slowly gained consciousness,
they could hear him mutter over and over, "I should never have taken that job at
7-Eleven. I should never have taken that job at 7-Eleven.
I should never have taken that job....

Heart Attacks & Hot Water

A  very good article which takes two minutes to read. I'm sending this to persons I care about.......I hope you do too!!!

Heart Attacks And Drinking Warm Water

This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal, but about
Heart Attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack...

A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting
. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who reads this message sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life. Read this & Send to a friend. It could save a life... So, please be a true friend and
sendthis article to all your friends you care about.

I JUST DID

Have a nice day

There’s a Proud Papa out there somewhere.

WOW!!!

The real Miss America .
This 19 year old ex-cheerleader now an Air Force Security Forces Sniper, was watching a road that led to a NATO military base when she observed a man digging by the road.
She engaged the target (she shot him). It turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban,  and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated when a US patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several soldiers.
The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards.
She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot went through his butt and into the bomb which detonated; he was blown to pieces. The Air Force made a motivational poster of her.

(Folks , that's a shot 25 yards longer than seven football fields)  And the last thing that came out of his mouth .. was his ass!
If You Can Not Stand Behind Our Troops , please Feel Free To Stand In Front Of Them!!!!!

Ain't freedom a grand thing!!!!!?

Polish Divorce
A Polish man moved to the USA and married an American girl.
Although his English was far from perfect, they got along very well.
One day he rushed into a lawyer's office
and asked him if he could arrange a divorce for him.
The lawyer said that getting a divorcewould depend on the circumstances,
and asked him the following questions:

Have you any grounds?
Yes, an acre and half and nice little home.

No, I mean what is the foundation of this case?
It made of concrete.

I don't think you understand.
Does either of you have a real grudge?
No, we have carport, and not need one.

I mean what are your relations like?
All my relations still in Poland.

Is there any infidelity in your marriage?
We have hi-fidelity stereo and good DVD player.

Does your wife beat you up?
No, I always up before her.

Is your wife a nagger?
No, she white.

Why do you want this divorce?
She going to kill me.

What makes you think that?
I got proof.

What kind of proof?
She going to poison me.
She buy a bottle at drugstore and put on shelf in bathroom.
I can read, and it say:

The PARADOXICAL COMMANDMENTS of LEADERSHIP *

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered -- love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives -- do good anyway.

If you're successful, you'll win false friends and true enemies -- succeed anyway.

The good you do today will perhaps be forgotten tomorrow -- do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable -- be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest man with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest man with the smallest mind --think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only hot dogs -- fight for the few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight -- build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you help them -- help them anyway.

Give the world the best that you have and you will get kicked in the teeth -- give the world the best that you have anyway.

my take on this incident...it could have been simple to give the hostage taker
what he wants??"his job back" he was not asking for anything "big", no money, no
plane???no prisoner exchange?? but to correct the alledges mishandling of his
dismissal?this was so simple....why, why was it so difficult for PNP to make a
simple decision???but Mendoza is still liable for hostage taking its a criminal
offense, jail time ito and again dismissal...dont blame the media..,the
brother...either the president....but the police who handled the
situation.....Sana lang si President Aquino was there to talk some senses to
Mendoza...."MAYBE" it could have been a different story....wala sanang

A Punjabi lawyer working in UK wrote to his wife in India...

Dear Sunita Darling,
I can't send you my salary this month because the global market crisis has
affected my Company's performance, so I am sending 100 kisses. You are my
sweetheart, please adjust.

Your loving husband,
JITA SINGH

His wife replied...

TINKU KE PAPPA (Dear Tinku’s Dad),

Thanks for the 100 kisses, Below is the list of expenses I paid with the
Kisses...:

1. The Milk man agreed on 2 kisses for one month's milk.

2. The electricity man agreed not to disconnect only after 7 kisses.

3. Your landlord Balkar Singh comes every day to take 2 or 3 kisses instead of
the monthly rent.

4. Supermarket owner Jaswant Singh did not accept kisses only, so I gave him
other items, I hope you understand..

5. Miscellaneous expenses 40 kisses.

Please don't worry about me, I still have a balance of 35 kisses and I hope I
can survive the month using this balance...
Shall I plan the same for the next month?

Your Sweet Heart,

Sunita

please read from the bottom up.

The Philippine government and its people

around the world has issued numerous letters of apologies,

prayers and complete cooperation with the Chinese government

which is just decent and proper just like South Korea

did when Seung-Hui Cho murdered 30 American

students in Virginia Tech.

That statement posted is a “fact” in response

to the hundreds of malicious, demeaning and degrading statements

about the Philippine government and to the Filipino people

as a whole and to the continues cyber attacks of government

and Filipino websites which quite obvious encouraged

and suctioned by the Chinese government.

I’m quite aware of the growing

economy of China based on how

they treats/exploit its workers.

The Filipino overseas workers and immigrants

has re-enforced the societies and nations

of the world not only in China as domestic

helpers but professionals who has gained

tremendous respect and admiration worldwide.

Due to the economic situation in the Philippines,

Filipinos were forced to seek better lives outside

its borders.  Decades ago, Chinese came to Philippines

to seek their fortune which most of them made it big.

Now, most of the richest families in the Philippines

are Chinese descent.

The PNP without any doubt bungled the rescue

operation and the Philippine government

is responsible for its outcome.

But you need to understand, that there is NO

guaranteed successful rescue operations by any special ops

even the best (ISRAEL, US, UK, GERMANY, NETHERLANDS,

GERMANY, RUSSIA etc.)had "collateral damage" which is very unfortunate.

Those respective countries had issued apologies

and provided financial damages.

The misfortune that happened was NOT deliberate

and was not suctioned by the Aquino administration.

But here are some DELIBERATE actions against Filipinos:

The continuous assault, sexual abuse, rapes and

mysterious death of domestic helpers in Hongkong;

The increasing influx of Chinese nationals as drug lords

in the Philippines which resulted to hundreds of Filipino

death;

The “active” espionage of Chinese operatives in the

Philippines and its continuous support of arms

and cash to CPP/NPA a known terrorist organization

that resulted to the destruction of millions worth of infrastructures

and death of non-combatants (civilians) and military personnel.

This is a direct action by People Republic of China (PRC )

to undermine the sovereignty and security of the Filipino people.

PRC supports and finance every communist rebellion/organization

In South East Asia being the “leader” of communism in the world.

You mentioned the huge and growing economy

of China but you forgot to mention the ever

growing and modernization of its military

which is a threat to its neighbors and Asia

as a whole.

Prime Minister Wen Jiabao consoled quake victims in Deyang County. Such images of Mr. Wen have dominated the airwaves.

While such scenes are a staple of catastrophes in much of the world, the rescue effort playing nonstop on Chinese television is remarkable for a country that has a history of concealing the scope of natural calamities and then BUNGLING its response.

At times like this cooler minds must prevail, you don't need fire to fight fire, there will be more innocent casualties (OFW's) if we take this stand against the Chinese who are emotionally wreck due to the lost of their citizens. Emotions are high and you need diplomatic dialogues to cool things down. Avoid the irritants like the melanine and lead in toys fiascos which are totally nothing to do with the hostage taking in Manila.

Make no mistake, the Chinese are on their way to becoming the world leader. The Philippines needs them more than they need us. Our OFW's in Hong Kong need their source of income, money earned that are sent back to their relatives back home which in turn helps the Philippine economy.

Also, do you beleive that the hostage taking in Manila was properly handled by the police and military, if you have any doubt, then I rest my case. It was an accident alright but the outcome may have been much better if it was dealt with differently.

My thoughts.

From: Subject: Re: [MITHS71] Labor Day

to the Hongkong and PRC Peoples,

You hate the Filipino people for the hostage fiasco that unfortunate incident that went out of control at the end. This was a hostage situation that was under control and which netted 7 Chinese tourists to be released upon the efforts of our policemen.

You appear and sound sanctimonious and have even stepped upon our sovereignty. You have demanded apology, the moon and the heavens. You hate the Filipino people as if we wanted this unfortunate incident to happen. First and foremost, we offer our condolences to the families of the 8 that were killed in this incident. Secondly, we are sorry for the bungled handling of this hostage taking. It was unfortunate, it was an accident, we never planned it that way. Is it fair to blame a whole nation for a situation that was never planned?

Let me ask you this question, "Should we hate you also for the lead poisoning caused by the paint you used in your baby furniture and toys for the children of the world, Should we hate you also for the use of cardboard in the "siopao" that you sell to tourists? Should we hate you also for the  melamine contamination wherein not 8, but hundreds, maybe even thousands have suffered and some even died?

Or, let us talk of Filipino casualties. A few years ago, 3 Filipino tourists, all surnamed Madrigal, a family of 5 were walking on Tienemen Square and Beijing. One Chinese stabbed the father and two of his children, killing all three. Were you even sorry for what this one Chinese did? Did the Filipino people even demand that China apologized for this unfortunate incident. This was PRE-MEDITATED MURDER.

Just as the use of lead, cardboard, melamine was pre-meditated - used because they were cheaper materials, in order to generate PROFITS for the Chinese businessman. Did you pay damages the same way you are demanding damages from the Filipino nation and people.

Where was the anger of the Chinese and Hongkong people? Did you even apologize to the world? My God in the case of melanine, you even kept this information from the world, until you were exposed for what you are!!!

Enough! We symphatize but don't blame the Filipino people.

So you want to send our OFWs home, that take care of your children? They play an important part in your lives. Both spouses are able to work, earn money because of the tender loving care being heaped on your children by Filipino maids and yayas/amahs. While you pay our OFWs for the work they do, you earn more for the love and care they bestow on your children. Go ahead, send our OFWs home. Let us see how that will affect your family incomes.

Enough!

Pass this to all Filipinos you know. If you love your country, perhaps you'll send this.

litany of the supposed stupidity or idiocy of Filipinos in general. There was
also this statement by Fermi Wong, founder of Unison HongKong, where she said
– “Filipino maids have a very low status in our city”. Then there is this

HongKong, China and to the whole world.

them, our Philippines did the highly risky and the unlikely –thru President
Manuel L Quezon, we opened our country’s doors and our nation’s heart to the
fleeing and persecuted Jews. Eventually, some 1,200 Jews and their families made
it to Manila. Last 21 June 2010, or 70 years later, the first ever monument
honoring Quezon and the Filipino nation for this “open door policy” was
inaugurated on Israeli soil, at the 65-hectare Holocaust Memorial Park in Rishon
LeZion, Israel.

Biyo has masteral and doctoral degress from one of the top universities in the
Philippines – the De La Salle University (Taft, Manila) – where she used to
teach rich college students and was paid well for it. But Dr Biyo left all that
and all the glamour of Manila, and chose to teach in a far-away public school in
a rural area in the province, receiving the salary of less than US$ 300 a month.
When asked why she did that, she replied “but who will teach our children?”
In recognition of the rarity of her kind, the world-famous Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States honoured Dr Biyo a very rare
honor – by naming a small and new-discovered planet in our galaxy as
“Biyo”.

his group would go to the public cemetery, market and garbage dump sites in
Cavite City – to teach street children with reading, math, basic literacy

Suplico was a taxi driver In New York. On 17 July 2004, Suplico drove 43 miles
from New York City to Connecticut, USA to return the US$80,000 worth of jewelry
(rare black pearls) to his passenger who forgot it at the back seat of his taxi.
When his passenger offered to give him a reward, Suplico even refused the
reward. He just asked to be reimbursed for his taxi fuel for his travel to
Connecticut. At the time, Suplico was just earning $80 a day as a taxi driver.
What do you call that? That’s honesty in its purest sense. That is decency
most sublime. And it occurred in New York, the Big Apple City, where all kinds
of snakes and sinners abound, and a place where – according to American
novelist Sydney Sheldon – angels no longer descend. No wonder all New York
newspapers called him “New York’s Most Honest Taxi Driver”. The New York
City Government also held a ceremony to officially acknowledge his noble deed.
The Philippine Senate passed a Resolution for giving honors to the Filipino
people and our country.

Unusual Funeral
A woman was leaving a convenience store with her morning coffee when she
noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery.
A long black hearse was followed by a second long black hearse about 50
feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary woman
walking a pit bull on a leash. Behind her, a short distance back, were about
200 women walking single file.
The woman was so curious that she respectfully approached the woman walking
the dog and said, "I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time
to disturb you, but I have never seen a funeral like this. Whose funeral is
it?"
  "My husband's."
  "What happened to him?"
The woman replied, "My dog attacked and killed him."
She inquired further, "Well, who is in the second hearse?"
The woman answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my husband
when the dog turned on her."
A poignant and thoughtful moment of silence passed between the two women.
  "Can I borrow the dog?"
  "Get in line."

The Practice of Humility

To speak as little as possible of oneself

To mind one's own business

Not to want to manage other people's affairs

To avoid curiosity

To accept contradiction and correction cheerfully

To pass over the mistakes of others

To accept insults and injuries

To accept being slighted, forgotten, and disliked

Not to seek to be specially loved and admired

To be kind and gentle even under provocation

Never to stand on one's dignity

To yield in discussion even though one is right

To choose always the hardest

Don't Ever

Don't ever be reluctant to show your feelings when you're happy, give in to it. When you're sad, live with it.

Don't ever be afraid to try to make things better, you might be surprised at the results.

Don't ever take the weight of the world on your shoulders. That's God's job.

Don't ever feel threatened by the future, just take life one day at a time. The future belongs to God.

Don't ever feel guilty about the past, what's done is done. Learn from your mistakes and learn to forgive yourself; God has.

Don't ever forget that you can achieve so much more than you could ever imagine just by letting God take the lead.

Don't ever stop loving.

Don't ever stop believing.

Don't ever stop dreaming your dreams.

Don't ever forget that it is God who makes all things possible, not us.

Heaven Is a Gift

There was a teacher who died recently and went to heaven. He came to the door and Peter said, "Wait a minute! Come here! Where are you going?" "I'm going in there." "Oh, no you're not." "Why not?" "It's not that simple." "Why?" "Well, we have a points system here, you see: so many points to get in."

"Oh, I didn't think that applied here. How many points," said the teacher, "to get in?" "Well, you need at least a thousand," said Peter. At this the teacher was a bit shocked but then came to himself again and Peter said, "Okay, come on, come on, what did you do when you were down there?"

So he stuck out his chest and said, "I went to Mass every morning for 40 years." He thought that was his trump card. And Peter said, "Fair enough. That's one point." At this the teacher's heart was in his shoes and so, Peter continued, "What else?" "Well, I belonged to the Third World agencies, the St Vincent de Paul Society and a couple more charitable organizations." Peter said, "Hurry up - what else? How much money did you collect for good causes over the years?" "Perhaps something like 25,000." "Not bad," said Peter, "not bad. That's another point."

At this stage the teacher was completely deflated and muttered to himself something like, "If this is the way it is, it's only by the grace of God that I'm ever going to get in." On hearing that, Peter turned to him and said, "Once you believe that, you've got the necessary thousand points. If you really believe what you just said, you may go right on in. Because heaven is a total, absolute, pure free gift of God."

Subject: [AteneoGrupo58] SECURITY ADVISORY TO MOTORIST : DANGERS WHEN DRIVING - READ AND PASS

For those who drive at night, especially the ladies, please read  for your own safety and pass on. . . .

Better be safe than sorry . . . . . please read and remember . . .

Please take note. You never know!!

.1. While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday morning, a MOTORIST  saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it.  For whatever reason, he did not stop but when he got to his destination, he called the Police and they were going to check it out. But, this is what the Police advised even before they went out there to check....

"There are several things to be aware of ... gangs and thieves are now plotting different ways to get a person (mostly women) to stop their vehicle and get out of the car.

"There is a gang MODUS OPERANDI  reported by the local Police Department where gangs are placing a car seat by the road...with a fake baby in it...waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the abandoned baby.
"Note that the location of this car seat is usually beside a wooded or grassy (field) area  OR ABANDONED BUILDING ;VACANT / DESERTED LOTS, and the person -- woman -- will be dragged into these areas , beaten and raped, and usually left for dead. If it's a – man --, they're usually beaten and robbed and maybe left for dead, too.  THEN THE CAR OF THE  VICTIM WILL BE CARJACKED

DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON!!! INSTEAD CALL THE POLICE OR ANY EMERGENCY LINE  ..

       DIAL 1-1-7 (Philippines)

AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW, BUT DON'T EVEN SLOW DOWN.

2. "IF YOU  ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSHIELD,
DO NOT STOP TO CHECK THE CAR
,  DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPER  AND DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATER
BECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5%,

AND YOU ARE THEN FORCED TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE CRIMINALS.

THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS, SO PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND THESE ARE  CRIMINALS  WHO WILL TAKE
UNUSUAL MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT."

Please talk to your loved ones about this. THERE MAYBE  OTHER SIMILAR TACTICS  used. Please be safe.

Get started NOW -- SEND THIS MESSAGE TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES TO BE CAREFUL AND  AWARE OF EVERYTHING AROUND THEM SO AS NOT TO BECOME A VICTIM.

These should put a smile on your face, have a good laugh!

W e are getting older.

Garage Door
The boss walked into the office one morning not knowing his zipper was down
and his fly area wide open. His assistant walked up to him and said, 'This
morning when you left your house, did you close your garage door?' The boss
told her he knew he'd closed the garage door, and walked into his office
puzzled by the question.
As he finished his paperwork, he suddenly noticed his fly was open, and
zipped it up. He then understood his assistant's question about his 'garage
door.'
He headed out for a cup of coffee and paused by her desk to ask, 'When my
garage door was open, did you see my Hummer parked in there?'
She smiled and said, 'No, I didn't. All I saw was an old minivan with two
flat tires.'

An elderly gentleman...
Had serious hearing problems for a number of years.. He went to the doctor
and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that
allowed the gentleman to hear 100%
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said,
'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can
hear again.'
The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around
and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!'

Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under
a tree when one turns to the other and says: 'Slim, I'm 83 years old now and
I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you
feel?'
Slim says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.'
'Really!? Like a newborn baby!?'
'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants..'

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the
wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a
new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.'
The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?'
The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that
flower you give to someone you love?
You know... The one that's red and has thorns.'
'Do you mean a rose?'
'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen
and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged.
However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman
already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who
insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the
elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
'I don't know,' he said.. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out
of her hospital gown.'

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During
a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might
want to start writing things down to help them remember.
Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.
'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks
'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'
'Sure.'
'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.

'No, I can remember it.'
'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it
down, so's not to forget it?'
He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with
strawberries.. '
'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?'
she asks.
Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice
cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'
Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes,
The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and
eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment.
'Where's my toast ?'

A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy:
'So I hear you're getting married?'
'Yep!'
'Do I know her?'
'Nope!'
'This woman, is she good looking?'
'Not really.'
'Is she a good cook?'
'Naw, she can't cook too well.'
'Does she have lots of money?'
'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.'
'Well, then, is she good in bed?'
'I don't know.'
'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?'
'Because she can still drive!'

Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'

A man was telling his neighbor, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me
four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect.'
'Really,' answered the neighbor . 'What kind is it?'
'Twelve thirty.'

Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a
gorgeous young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really
doing great, aren't you?'
Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be
cheerful.''
The doctor said, 'I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be
careful.'

One more. . .!

A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself
slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.. After catching his breath, he ordered a
banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'
'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

DON'T LAUGH SO MUCH, YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!!!!

Secrets For a Flat Stomach

Developing a lean, flat stomach takes time and patience, especially when it comes to those last few kilograms in those hard to lose places. There is only one way to lose fat in the so-called stubborn areas, and that is with the correct combination strength training (with a extra focus on mid-section), cardiovascular exercise (short, hard workouts), and stable blood sugar (keeps you from adding additional fat and makes it easier for the body to use body fat for fuel).

Spot Reduction is a Myth - The first thing you need to realize is that it is impossible to spot reduce fat from one specific part of the body. Fat loss occurs systemically, meaning that you cant control where the fat comes from. When you burn fat for energy, you will draw it from all areas of the body, and the first place you tend to put it on will be the last place it comes off.

Cardio, cardio, cardio - Doing all the abs exercises in the world will do nothing if you have a layer of fat covering it. Doing strength training, or lifting weights, would help, but not as much as aerobic exercise. If you want to add some AB exercises in after the cardio, thats great, but be sure to work your whole torso, not just the upper abs that includes the lower abs, lower back and the muscles that wrap around your sides.

For example, Walking, jogging, bicycling, elliptical exercise and stair climbing are all great fat burners. Most give up early in the workout. During the first 10 minutes of aerobic activity, glycogen (stored carbohydrates) is the primary fuel source. Because you dont burn significant amounts of fat until glycogen stores are depleted, the key to maximum fat loss is to work out aerobically for 30-60 minutes continuously per session.

Diet Its best to stay away from fried food and too many sugary desserts. Abdominal fat loss is a 50% exercise, 50% nutrition combination. Regardless of how much you workout, if the number of calories you take in is greater than the amount you burn, youll still put on abdominal fat.

Eat Small Meals Regularly - You should try and spread your calories out into five small meals a day instead of 2 or 3 big ones so that you dont overeat in one feeding.

Give it Time If you want to have a flat stomach in 3 weeks, forget it. Losing fat takes time, and its unhealthy to lose too much weight too fast. Gradual weight loss is healthier, and more likely to be sustained over time. Go for a lifestyle change, something you can live with for the rest of your life, or you will just yo-yo. Its a marathon, not a sprint.

Tightrope Walker
----------------

There was a tightrope walker, who did incredible aerial feats. All over Paris, he would do tightrope acts at tremendously scary heights. Then he had succeeding Acts; he would do it blindfolded, then he would go across the tightrope, blindfolded, pushing a wheelbarrow.

An American promoter read about this in the papers and wrote a letter to the tightrope walker, saying, "Tightrope, I don't believe you can do it, but I'm willing to Make you an offer. For a very substantial sum of money, besides all your transportation fees, I would like to challenge you to do your act over Niagara Falls."

Now, Tightrope wrote back, "Sir, although I've never been to America and seen the Falls, I'd love to come."

Well, after a lot of promotion and setting the whole thing up, many people came to see the event. Tightrope was to start on the Canadian side and come to the American side. Drums roll, and he comes across the rope which is suspended over the treacherous part of the falls blindfolded!! And he makes it across easily.

The crowds go wild, and he comes to the promoter and says, "Well, Mr. Promoter, now do you believe I can do it?"
"Well of course I do. I mean, I just saw you do it."
"No," said Tightrope, "do you really believe I can do it?"
"Well of course I do, you just did it."
"No, no, no," said Tightrope, "do you believe I can do it?"
"Yes," said Mr. Promoter, "I believe you can do it."
"Good," said Tightrope, "then you get in the wheelbarrow."

Keep this in mind the next time you are about to repeat a rumour.

In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom.

One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said,
"Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied,
"Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple
Filter Test."

'Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance.

"That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's
take a moment to filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth.
Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"No," the man said, "Actually I just heard about it."

"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now
let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to
tell me about Diogenes something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued,

"You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though
you're not certain it's true?"

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued,
"You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter
of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to
me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates,
"If what you want to tell me may be neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why
tell it to me or anyone at all?"

The man was bewildered and ashamed.

This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high
esteem.

It also explains why Socrates never found out that Diogenes was sleeping with
his wife!!!
