"News from the Rum River Watershed": the official newsletter of "Friends of the Rum River."

Our Mission: To provide a base of knowledge that we can use to make wise decisions concerning the Rum River watershed, and to preserve, enhance and enjoy its resources.

Our Vision: To improve our ability to care for the Rum River watershed and all of the associated watersheds that make up the Mississippi River system.

Purpose: To provide a means of offering information on natural and man-made actions occurring within the Rum River watershed that could impact the environmental health of the river and its surrounding communities. This includes natural communities, agricultural and urban communities.

Method: A free quarterly newsletter will be maintained and distributed by e-mail to interested parties under the auspices of “News from the Rum River Watershed.” Submissions to the newsletter will be accepted, and will also include excerpts from local newspapers and other e-mail newsletters that pertain to this newsletter’s purpose. This e-mail newsletter will be made available to environmental groups, schools, businesses, other groups, and private individuals.
