Description

From founding member Alireza,
Mowlana Jalad Od-Din Rumi and Henry David Thoreau open beautiful windows on their countries and cultures. The founders of this group found each other through this opening. They have established this group in the hope that any new member group helps them and each other to see more through these beautiful windows.

This is a literary group dedicated to the ideas of Thoreau and Rumi. But every new member who enters is himself or herself a new subject. Let us see how Rumi and Thoreau's ideas can be reflected in the mirror of the heart of each new person who joins our company.

From founding member,Sue, "Let me share something from Henry's Journal 20-February-1857.
"If I were to discover that a certain kind of stone by the pond-shore was affected, say partially disintegrated by a particular natural sound, as of a bird or insect, I see that one could not be completely described without describing the other. I am that rock by the pond-side.
What is hope, what is expectation, but a seed-time whose harvest cannot fail, an irresistible expedition of the mind, at length to be victorious."

None of us is whole - we are each a part of the other. Hope is letting ourselves find the connection that binds us as humans. Let us engage in that 'irresistible expedition' of the mind.
