Description

Medieval Renaissance costuming discussion for Society for Creative Anachronism participants and related groups. The list is not restricted to just Western European costuming. You do *not* have to be a paid member of the SCA to participate in this list; all are welcome.

Rule the First: be excellent to each other. Please note that this is a high traffic group and that you may be more comfortable reading messages through the web page interface at first. This group is meant to be friendly, helpful, and NOT a-r; thus, we may stray off topic sometimes. Bashing another person's beliefs, proselytizing, or being excessively rude is NOT allowed.

Rule the Second: ALL advertisements are to be posted in our companion group, located at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/garb4sale/ or risk being permanently banned without further notice. Same goes for forwarding non relevant messages from other email and news groups. Advertising in one's signature at the end of a message IS allowed, as long as it follows standard netiquette protocol (containing no more than four lines in the sig file.)

Re: Silk Men's ties
I can't speak for Cat, but I occasionally find fabric yardage at thrift stores, and also curtains, sheets and bedspreads that are suitable to use for garb.
